Sheffield Spring Moot 2026

SHEFFIELD MOOT LOCATION ANNOUNCED:

We are proud and excited to announce to the world that we have squatted the lovely old Pinders print shop, on 16 Moore Street, S3 7US. Entrance is round the back on Hodgson street, via the blue gate.

This is the much coveted, highly exclusive and very stylish location of the EF! Sheffield Spring Moot. It’s near the bottom of the Moor, and is a 13 min walk from the train station.

Beat that for prime real estate!

Get yourselves down here – bring your friends and comrades and sufficiently cool family members, your anarchist accomplices and comfortable chairs and fabulous flapjack. Come on!

In fact, we can’t help but wonder why you ain’t here already – and don’t give us that “but it was an intentionally mysterious location shrouded in the upmost clandestinous [sic] how the hell were we supp-” nonsense. Today, we’ll have lunch from 12:30pm and the workshops will start at 1:30pm. Then it’s a straight run until we finish on Sunday at 5pm.

We have a new workshop doc where people are putting their workshop descriptions, so check that out too. One last time, we’re reminding you to do a covid test, dress warm, and bring some cash, a battery pack. a headtorch & a camping chair if you can.

Come to Brighton’s EF! Spring Moot on March 21st 2026!

Brighton’s Earth First! Spring Moot on 21st March

Join us for a day of workshops and discussion at Future Roots in Stanmer Park, a beautiful piece of woodland in the shadow of the L3Harris arms factory, which makes bomb components that are sent to the likes of Turkey, Israel and Saudi Arabia. The theme for this Moot is therefore ecology, climate crisis and militarism: we will be exploring the relationship between militarism and ecological degradation; how militaries try to build legitimacy with greenwashing, how ecological destruction is used as a weapon of war, and and how states enforce their control with ecocide. We want to share knowledge and build a anarchist ecological movement that is not co-opted by business, NGOs or governments.

The Moot will run from 9.30am till sunset, with workshops from 10am to 5.45pm, vegan lunch and dinner, tea and snacks. We will finish with some drinks around the fire, followed by an afterparty in town, more details tba.
Kids are very welcome, we hope to collectively run a kids space!

Entrance fees are donation-based, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Getting there
Bus: Number 78 bus runs into Stanmer park (7-10 minute walk to course site) and number 25 bus to park entrance (17-20 minute walk).
Train: Falmer train station is a 20+ minute walk away
Cycle: there is a cycle path (unsegregated, but painted) from Brighton town centre all the way to Stanmer village.

Accessibility on site
There are step-free footpaths through the site. These are uneven and depending on the weather, may be slippery. Sitting and standing peeing toilets are on site, and compost toilets are available a 2 minute walk away.

Cymru/South West England Winter Moot 2026

*New date: 27th-29th March – Join the Cymru/South West England EF! Winter Moot: Fighting Fascism in the Sticks!*

Hello all,
We want to invite you to attend a regional Earth First Winter Moot! This will be held in South Cymru, and is open to folks from the whole of Cymru and the South West of England.

IMPORTANT: You must fill out this form if you would like to attend as there are limited spaces on this gathering! Be aware that filling out the form doesn’t necessarily guarantee a spot depending on how many want to come. The recent rise of the far right and reform in the UK and Wales is something many of us are actively resisting, and we want to host a gathering to share tactics, experience and resources to build our capcity in this fight. Fighting fascism in rural areas can often feel isolating, so gathering together especially at this time of year feels very necessary. Although centred around rural organisations we invited folks from urban areas to come along too to share skills and experience!

If you feel similarly, we’d love for you to come along to participate in workshops, discussions and building community with us. This moot is for those actively resisting fascism, or those wanting to start organising. It will be a more focused gathering than moots you may have been to before, so please only come if you are willing to engage in serious discussion and planning.

We have limited space for the weekend (around 30) so we ask that only 2 people come from any group or area to ensure we have enough folks from all over. We also expect people to stay for the whole weekend (Friday night – Sunday midday) if at all possible. The specific location will be disclosed upon filling out the form above. There will be some lifts going to the location from stations, but we encourage you to do the whole journey on public transport if possible. There will also be car parking and van space.

We will be asking for pay what you can donations to cover the running cost of the weekend, this will also go towards providing some shared meals! No body will be turned away for lack of funds 🙂 Please disclose allergens or dietary requirements on the form.

FYI: Earth First! is a non-hierarchical network which is involved in organising direct action and ecological resistance. It has no leaders, followers, or membership but is a banner for those of us fighting for a better world to gather under. EF! has been organising in the UK for over thirty years, holding a larger gathering each summer and meeting in the winter months for moots. The winter moots normally take a more focused approach to organising in regional areas or over certain themes. They are a time to plot and plan for the year ahead!
